Who Performs in Starring Buffalo Shows?

All Starring Buffalo events include performers from three groups: visiting guest artists from Broadway, Buffalo’s best professional artists, and area students and community members. The collaboration among these groups is the “secret sauce” that makes Starring Buffalo a truly unique community art project.

What is a Staged Concert?

Inspired by the staged concerts at City Center’s Encores series in New York, our staged concerts are complete performances of full musicals, including all of the songs, dialogue, and story, but in a “concert style” with simplified sets, props, and costumes. Producing this way allows us to focus on the show’s words and music, which is what our company is all about, while also presenting large casts and Broadway’s biggest stars at a more affordable price.

What is a Cabaret?

Our cabaret evenings are not full musicals - they are less formal music events that include songs from many different Broadway shows. Our cabarets take place at unique alternative venues around the region and often include food or drinks.

Are Your Shows National Tours?

No! Each Starring Buffalo show includes numerous local artists and is made especially for us here in Western New York.

Are Your Orchestras / Bands Live?

Yes! Every Starring Buffalo show includes live union musicians. Never “canned” or “tracked”music.
