Starring Buffalo's Featured Choirs
Starring Buffalo offers the opportunity to choirs from regional high schools to sing the ensemble music in professional musical theater shows. Starring Buffalo provides the music, and students study and learn parts during their regularly-scheduled rehearsals, under the baton of their school directors. The week of the show, VIP actors from the cast visit each school to give master classes during the choir period. The choirs are also bussed to a dress rehearsal at the venue, to rehearse alongside the professional actors and perfect their music under Starring Buffalo’s direction. Each choir then sings in one performance, giving them the once-in-a-lifetime chance to share the stage with Broadway and Buffalo professional actors and share their talents with a large audience. The experience gives students access to the pace and excitement of a life on stage. In addition to high school choirs, Starring Buffalo performances are designed to involve top-level talent, both professional and educational, from many disciplines.
